Fung Raymond
Standing Council
Born in 1952 in Hong Kong, Raymond Fung is a renowned artist and architect in Hong Kong. He was a recipient of the award Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Young Persons in 1990 and has won five HKIA Annual Awards. His works have been selected in China National Art Exhibition, Hong Kong Art Biennial and HKDA Asia Design Awards multiple times. In 2008, he received the Certificate of Commendation from HKSARG Home Affairs Bureau for his outstanding achievements in the promotion of arts and culture in Hong Kong. In 2011, he was awarded Hong Kong Ten Outstanding Designers and was also appointed Justice of the Peace.
Fung has exhibited in over 30 cities, with solo exhibitions in New York, Paris, London, Beijing, Tokyo, Shanghai, Avignon, Taipei and Hong Kong. His works are widely collected by international corporations and museums including Museum Rietberg Zurich, Asian Art Museum of San Francisco, National Art Museum of China, Shanghai Art Museum, HK Museum of Art, University Museum and Art Gallery, HKU and HK Heritage Museum.
Fung is currently the Adjunct Professor and Honorary Architect of the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Board of Director, Hong Kong Palace Museum, Development Committee Member of the West Kowloon Cultural District Authority, Honorary Adviser of LCSD Art Museums and a Co-opt Member of the Harbourfront Commission. Fung has published over 100 articles and co-authored: The Story of Space, A Century of HK Architecture, In Love with Architecture, In Search of HK Art, Taste Taipei and 10 Most-liked HK Architecture.
